September, San Luis Obispo
CAIA members gathered in San Luis Obispo in September 2010 for their annual Fall Meeting. Highlights included a Legislative/Regulatory Roundtable Breakfast, CAIA Committee Meetings, Tour, and Golf Tournament.
The 2010 “Water to Wine” tour took CAIA members first to the Cal Poly Irrigation Training and Research Center Water Resources Facility where Stuart Styles and his student staff led a tour of their current work with filter and flow measurement testing and their newest research equipment and facilities. The ITRC facilities are used to test and develop state-of-the-art irrigation technologies implemented throughout the world. Then it was off to Eberle Winery for a tour of the vineyards, crushing operation and 16,000 square feet of underground caves.
The following day, the CAIA Golf Tournament was held at Avila Beach.
