The California Agricultural Irrigation Association (CAIA) is an inclusive non-profit organization whose principle objective is to enhance agricultural irrigation that:
- Promotes water and soil conservation to increase yields and to improve the quality of crops through efficiency of design
and economic use of irrigation systems; - Promotes standards for the proper design, installation and management of irrigation systems;
- Is large enough to wield influence regarding state agricultural water legislation;
- Promotes ethical business practices within the industry.
- Promoting water and soil conservation to increase yields and to improve the quality of crops through efficiency of design, and economic use of irrigation systems.
- Promoting the development of a canon of ethics for the agricultural irrigation industry and providing, within the CAIA, a mechanism to encourage compliance.
- Supporting the irrigation industry by taking an active position on legislation that effects members and/or water users.
- Establishing, maintaining, promoting and supporting systems of education and instruction for its members.
- Promoting standards for the proper design, installation and management of irrigation systems.
- CAIA shall be dedicated and resolved to encourage a cooperative relationship among segments of the industry, for the ultimate benefit of all concerned.

FULL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES (VOTING MEMBERS)
Dealer Membership shall be available to organizations that actively maintain all of the following:
- Physical business with point-of-sale for the warehousing and sales of irrigation parts and supplies in California
- Contractor’s License in good standing issued by the California Contractors State License Board
- Employs a designer with an Irrigation Association Certified Irrigation Designer certificate with appropriate specialty in good standing; or employs an engineer with Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists; or employs an engineer registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in good standing
Manufacturer Membership is available to organizations who actively manufacture, distribute, and market products with domestic warehousing for use in the agricultural irrigation industry.
Irrigation Professional Membership is available to organizations and individuals who either design, install, operate point-of-sale business, perform service and maintenance, distributes or acts as intermediary for materials sales, or performs other functions within the agricultural irrigation industry.
NON-VOTING MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Industry Partner shall be available to all Water Agencies, Educational Institutions, Financial Institutions, ancillary businesses, and others supporting the CAIA.
